Win the Fight LIVE - the team and our work
Hi - this is Sam, one of the founders of Win the Fight LIVE. I’ve worked in politics for a long time, mostly for elected officials.
But over the last few years, I’ve been working in the live content space, especially with influencers who stream to YouTube and Twitch. It’s a vibrant content space where cultural discourse unfolds live, one second at a time. Young people get their news and form opinions watching livestreamers, and the most exciting live clips travel around the internet on social platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok.
The organizers of Win the Fight are veterans of political engagement in this space. I’m the founder of Progressive Victory, a community of volunteer activists working to elect Democrats in all 50 states. PV’s community is housed on the gaming chat platform Discord, and its members have been recruited from livestream audiences.
Members of our team organized high-profile streams with popular streamers Pokimane, Valkyrae, Nmplol, and LuluLovely during the 2024 election to elect Kamala Harris.
Some of us also helped with production and promotion on White Dudes for Harris, which raised over $4 million to support her campaign.
Like millions of others, we’ve been watching the corruption unfold over these last few months. Trump is moving at desperate speed to outrun the institutions that undergird our republic. There’s so much going on that it’s hard to know where to wage the fight.
We know the power of this content space - making direct appeals to live audiences is one of the most impactful and effective ways to drive action.
That’s why we created Win the Fight - to give people the best information about what’s happening, and link that information directly to concrete actions we can all take to fight back…and WIN.
It’s exciting to see so many strong fighters buy into our idea - elected leaders like Gov. Gavin Newsom and Sen. Cory Booker, and powerful media voices like Harry Sisson, Iamlegallyhype, and Hank Green.
Trump knows that his path to victory is through shock and awe. He’s trying to intimidate people into bending the knee.
But he’s not getting that - not from us, and not from millions of people who feel the same way we do.
